Sweet Treats in a Bag!

Happy Tuesday! I hope you all enjoyed your St. Patrick's Day festivities. Today, I wanted to share a cute little treat bag I made using the Cool Treats stamp set and Tasty Treats DSP. The pattern I got from Ronda Wade and it is so quick and easy that I decided to make one. I just changed out the DSP and the stamp set and this is what I came up with.
This is such a quick and easy design and it's the perfect size for so many things. You could provide a small package of cookies in here, a couple bolts of ribbon as a gift or other crafty embellishments, and the list goes on.
I hope you enjoyed today's project. If you have any questions or any comments, I would love to here, so please leave them below. Have a great day and happy stamping,
Katrina

Sweet Treats with the Cool Treats Bundle

Hello there! Wow, we are in the midst of a deep freeze here in CNY. Today isn't as bad as the weekend though, so I am grateful for that. I think Saturday and Sunday were the coldest we've been all winter long...brrrrr! I did a Spring Craft Fair Saturday and unfortunately there was very little traffic and I'm sure it was because it was so COLD.
Anyway, today I have a really cute card to share with you that I actually CASED from the Occasions catalog. What does CASED mean you ask? Well, it means, Copy and Share Everything! You see, in Paper Crafting, it's encouraged as long as you give credit where credit is due and never claim someone else's work as your own. As long as you do that, copy away. So, today, I recreated a Stampin' Up! design team design straight from the pages of the catalog. What a wealth of great ideas! So here it is:
I had so much fun creating this card and I think it will make a great birthday for someone special, especially someone who loves ice cream. Now, who doesn't just love ice cream?
Directions:
Standard Card base of Whisper White 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored and folded at 4 1/4". Adhere a piece of the DSP cut 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" to the front. Cut a piece of Whisper White with the larges Lots of Labels framelits and adhere to the front. Stamp a piece of Crumb Cake CS with Early Espresso ink with the "waffle cone" stamp and cut out using the coordinating framelit. Add a couple of strips of Washi. Then cut an ice cream scoop in each of the following colors: Soft Sky, Watermelon Wonder, Peekaboo Peach and Wild Wasabi. Stamp each scoop with the "sprinkles" stamp using the craft white ink and adhere with the ice cream cone to the the card using Dimensionals. Cut the "chocolate" from Early Espresso and the cherry from Watermelon Wonder and adhere. Stamp the sentiment onto a piece of Whisper White, cut 1/2" x 4 1/4" with the Early Espresso ink and banner the ends with your paper snips. Add this to the front of the card using Dimensionals. Add a bow to the top front using the Thick White Bakers Twine and adhere with a glue dot.
I hope you enjoyed this card and I wish you all Happy Stamping,
Katrina

Cool Treats Class with Stampin' n Scrappin' From the Heart

Hey everyone. Happy Sunday! I know,  I'm a day late, but, I we had our first super sunny day since I think November and I took full advantage of it. Yes, we still have 4 feet of snow (no, I am not exaggerating!) but it was almost 50 degrees and full on sun so I took Tucker for a little walk and when we got back, I was so energized that I went insane around the house. I cleaned out kitchen cupboards and drawers, did laundry and ........cleaned and organized my craft room! I changed a few things around and now I am ready to begin real Spring cleaning like washing walls and shampooing carpets. It's amazing how the sun can energize you and totally renew your spirit!
Anyway, today, I want to share with you a class I have coming up in a few weeks. It's the Cool Treats class and will include the Tasty Treats DSP, the Tasty Treats sprinkles, Thick White bakers twine and the Peekaboo Peach Rouched ribbon along with all of the precut/ pre-die cut cardstock needed for the projects. I will have the stamp set and ink available to use here. We will be making a total of 8 cards, 2 each of 4 designs as well as a treat bag. The cost of this class is $46 and must be paid by 3/1/17 and can be paid by PayPal. This class is also available as a To Go option for $59 which includes the $13 to ship the materials to you. You will need to have the stamp set and ink in order to complete the projects or you can use what ever you have available. The To Go kits will be mailed to you the following Monday March 13th.
If you are interested in either of these class options, be sure to sign up for my mailing list so that you will receive the "flier" in the mail that will contain the PayPal link to ensure your spot. Live class, seating is limited to 8. If you happen to miss the mailing, you may RSVP by emailing me at snsfromtheheart@gmail.com and I can invoice you from PayPal and remember, 3/1/17 is the deadline to RSVP/make payment for this class.
I hope you can make it, I promise it will be a great class!
Happy Stampin'

Cool Treats and Sweets

Happy Saturday! Wow, the snow continues to pile up around here and it's beginning to feel like it may never stop? So, to start thinking warm weather, I decided to pull out the Cool Treats suite of product for my sketch challenge taking place over on my Facebook page. (feel free to join us!)
and it totally fit the bill. I am really happy with how this card turned out.
Now, doesn't this make you think warm summer evenings hanging out on the front porch listening to the birds sing and the peepers peep? Sorry, I got lost in my own thoughts there for a minute. Can you tell I'm REALLY wishing Spring would hurry in?
Here is what you'll need to recreate this card:
Supplies:
Stamps: Cool Treats
Paper: Peekaboo Peach 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored and folded 4 1/4" and scrap for ice cream scoop; Tasty Treats DSP 4" x 5 1/4"; Watermelon Wonder (2) 1/2" x 3 3/4" and scrap for ice cream scoop; Pool Party 1 1/2" x 5 1/4" and scrap for ice cream scoop; Whisper White 3 1/2" square; Scrap Crumb Cake for the ice cream dish; Scrap of Early Espresso for chocolate topping; scrap Silver Foil paper for spoon
Ink: Watermelon Wonder
Misc: Frozen Treats Framelits; Banner Triple punch; Big Shot; Wink of Stella Clear; Fast Fuse; Fine Tip Glue pen; Stampin' Dimensionals

Directions:
Adhere the DSP to the card base. Add the Watermelon Wonder strips and banner one end of the Pool Party piece and adhere to the card front. Stamp the sentiment to the bottom of the Whisper White square in Watermelon Wonder ink. Cut out the ice cream dish with the Crumb Cake cardstock and adhere just above the sentiment. Now cut out a total of 3 ice cream scoops, 1 each from Pool Party, Peekaboo Peach and Watermelon Wonder, nest cut out 3 of the "fudge" toppings and adhere to each of the scoops and cut out the spoon. (Tip: when cutting out the spoon, if you like the dimensional look that I got, turn the Silver Metalic paper shiny side down when cutting it, and I placed a piece of waxed paper between the paper and the plate of the Big Shot to prevent transference of the cut lines into the paper - this provided a nice smooth spoon but it also created a curvature in the spoon), pile the ice cream into the dish, add the spoon with some Fine Tip Glue and adhere the panel onto the card base using Stampin' Dimensionals. Finally, paint the "fudge" with the Clear Wink of Stella.

I hope you enjoyed today's card. Again, please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts, I truly enjoy knowing what you think.
Happy Stamping and keep warm!
Katrina
