Sale-a-Bration: Why You Should Join My Team Now!

Hi all! Happy Thursday! I know I have said it time and time again but I only say it because I believe in it so much. Sale-a-Bration is THE most wonderful time of year! The benefits of Sale-a-Bration are just amazing and it doesn't matter if you're the happy shopper or the happy demonstrator there is so much to love about Sale-a-Bration.

But I have to tell you, it is absolutely the BEST time to join!
And here is why: In addition to the normal "design your own demo kit" by selecting $125 in product (anything you wish) for just $99 with FREE shipping, you now get to throw in not one, but TWO stamp sets of your choice! That's ANY TWO stamp sets you choose!  There isn't a dollar limit on what you can choose! Now, here is the real kicker...there is absolutely NO OBLIGATION! Once you purchase your starter kit at such an AMAZING value....you aren't obligated to do a single thing with it! There is no one that is going to call you and demand you sell stamps, no one pressuring you to be a sales person. It is totally up to you! Now, don't get me wrong, there is definitely perks for maintaining your demonstratorship, but it's not required. If you do choose to continue, you will make/save 20% on all of your sales/orders. Now, tell me, who doesn't love a good discount? You get "sneak peaks" into up coming catalogs along with the opportunity to pre-order before anyone else even gets to see the inside of the catalog. You can attend exclusive Strampin' Up! demonstrator events and you can even earn incentive trips (this year everyone is working toward earning Alaska - oh how I yearn to earn Alaska!) And, you get access to an exclusive Demonstrator quarterly publication, Stampin' Success full of business tips, crafting ideas and so much more. There is also the weekly email, Succeed Weekly also full of great information. And then there is the personal side of the "business", the amazing relationships you forge when you come together with others that love the craft as much as you do. And those relationships are those formed with other demonstrators as well as your customers. You become a great big extended family. That to me, has become the biggest perk of all. I love and appreciate everyone of my customers and I love to share ideas with them, I love to encourage creativity in others. If any of this even remotely sounds like fun to you, then seriously, consider joining my team. Just use the tab up above and follow the link. Easy Peasy, I would love to have you join me.
In the meantime, Happy stamping,

Window Shopping

Hey all!
I hope you are all enjoying the start of the new week. So far, so good here. I accomplished so much over the weekend that currently, I feel totally caught up for a change. I realize that feeling won't last for long, but for now, I am going to enjoy it!
Anyway, today I want to share a card I made for a friend who is recovering from surgery right now. I happened to see this card in the Occasions Catalog and just fell in love with it, so I decided to C.A.S.E. (Copy and Share Everything) the card. It uses the Window Box Thinlits to create the cut out card front. And I just LOVE the watercolor behind. This was such an easy card to create, And here is how it was done:
Supplies:
Stamp Set: Window Shopping
Paper: Extra Thick Whisper White cut 4 1/4" x 11" scored and folded at 5 1/2"; Watercolor paper cut 4" x 3 1/2"; Whisper White panel cut 4" x 5 1/4"; Pool Party 1/2" x 3 3/4"
Ink: Mellon Mambo; Pear Pizzazz
Misc: Aqua Painter; Stampin' Dimensionals; Big Shot; Window Box Thinlits; Paper Snips; Fast Fuse Adhesive; Die Brush Set

Directions:
To begin, once I created my card base, I ran my Whisper White panel through the Big Shot with the large floral design thinlit from the Window Box collection and removed the die using the die brush and foam pad. (This worked like a DREAM!)

Next, I lined my Watercolor paper up behind the cut out image and using a pencil, I lightly marked the outer-most parts of the image so that I could be sure to ensure my color extended far enough and I knew I wanted to be able to keep the Pear Pizzazz to the outer edge and that helped with my color placement. I then set my cutout panel aside and went to work on the Watercolor.

Using my Aqua Painter, I soaked my Watercolor paper. Then I began to pick up the Mellon Mambo with my Aqua Painter from a pool of color in my stamp pad lid and literally just "dropped" it onto the center of my Watercolor paper and allowed the ink to spread, and I continued to do this until I was happy with the amount of ink I had. I then did the same process with the Pear Pizzazz, concentrating on the outside perimeter of the paper, catching the edges of the marks I made with my pencil. I then dried the ink with my heat tool. Once it was dry, it was a bit warped, so I used Fast Fuse all around the edge and lined it up behind the die cut panel. I then attached the panel to the card base using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment onto the Pool Party piece using Pear Pizzazz ink and using my Paper Snips, I bannered one end and angled the other and attached it to the card using a couple of Stampin' Dimensionals.

That's it, that is all there is to putting this pretty card together. Now, if you will excuse me, I need to drop this into the mail box so that it makes it's way to the intended recipient. Have a great day and Happy Stamping,

Sending Love in Layers

Hey there! Happy Saturday! Well, I  don't know about where you are, but here in CNY, the weather is a bit schizophrenic! Thursday it was almost 50 degrees and we had pouring rain, Friday and today, it's been FREEZING and snowing. Makes for great "stay in and craft by the fire" weather! So, that's my weekend plan. And with that, I have a cute card I put together using the Sealed with Love stamp set and  Sending Love DSP from the Occasions catalog. I know I have said this before, but I just adore this set and expect to see more of it in the coming weeks. I just can't help myself with this one. Anyhoo, here it is:

Supplies:
Stamp Set: Sealed with Love
Paper: Whisper White; Pink Pirouette; Crumb Cake; Sending Love DSP
Ink: Real Red
Tools: 2" Circle Punch; Fast Fuse; Stampin' Dimensionals

Directions:
Begin with a card base of Whisper White cut 4 1/4" x 11" scored and folded at 5 1/2", layer a piece of the DSP cut 1 5/8" x 5" to the left front of the card base using Fast Fuse, over lap with a strip of Pink Pirouette cut 1 1/4" x 4 1/4". Then cut a piece of Crumb Cake 2 1/4" x 2 1/2" and stamp the decorative heart strip in the stamp set, using Real Red ink in the upper left corner at an angle and adhere over the Pink Pirouette and DSP using Fast Fuse. Finally, stamp the sentiment in Real Red ink onto scrap Whisper White and punch out using the 2" circle punch and adhere to the lower portion of the Crumb Cake using a couple of Stampin' Dimensionals. That's it! Quick and EASY!

Thanks so much for stopping by, please leave a comment below and let me know your thoughts on this one. I did this one in my card class earlier this week and it was a hit. I hope you like it as much as my class did, but I would love to hear from you!

Happy Stamping,

Balloon Adventure Pop Up Card

Hey guys, long time no see! I completely missed my Tuesday post, oh what a day that was! You know those alarm clocks with dual alarms...yeah, those ones! Well, I accidentally turned on the wrong alarm Monday night and needless to say, Tuesday morning I over-slept! I turned on my husbands "I worked a double shift, got home at 8am and need to get up and back out the door for the next shift" alarm which is set to go off at noon instead of my alarm that is set to go off at 4am. No, I didn't sleep until noon, but I did not get up until 6:45am (I should have been pulling into the hospital parking lot at that hour!)So needless to say, I was all messed up all day. I think the lack of coffee and the high speed in which my day took off, totally threw me off my game. So, as a result, I never made my way to my blog. Hopefully, it is worth the wait as I created this card by casing the new Occasions catalog. I just love this catalog and I love this set. It makes birthday celebrations so fun!

Supplies:
Stamp Set: Balloon Adventures
Paper: Crushed Curry 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored and folded at 4 1/4"; Party Animal DSP cut 5 1/4" x 2 1/2"; Whisper White cut 3 3/4" square and another piece cut 8 1/4"  x 5 1/4" scored and folded at 4 1/8" (this is for the inside pop up) Scraps of Tangerine Tango, Pacific Point and Emerald Envy.
Ink: Pacific Point; Crushed Curry; Tangerine Tango; Emerald Envy
Misc: Emerald Envy 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Balloon Pop-Up Thinlits; Big Shot; Stampin' Dimensionals; Fast Fuse

Directions:
Adhere the DSP to the center of the card base, stamp the sentiment onto the Whisper White 3 3/4" square with Pacific Point ink, add the party confetti image using Crushed Curry to the bottom of the piece and stamp the balloon and string using the Tangerine Tango. Using the Striped Balloon thinlit, run a scrap piece of Tangerine Tango through the Big Shot and adhere this piece over the stamped Balloon image. Wrap the card base with the Emerald Envy Taffeta Ribbon and adhere the Stamped piece with Stampin' Dimensionals.
For the inside, Take the folded Whisper White piece and open it up, align the Balloon pop up thinlit arrow up on the fold mark and run through the Big Shot. This will create the pop up. Now, stamp the balloons lining up the stamp to the die cut images. I did Emerald Envy, Tangerine Tango and Pacific Point. Then cut a polka dot and a stripped balloon from scraps of Emerald Envy and Pacific Point cardstock and adhere them to the corresponding balloon. Stamp the banner and sentiment with Tangerine Tango ink. Adhere this piece to the inside of the card and attach the 2 1/8" square DSP pieces to the bottom of each Whisper White panel as shown in the photo below.
I hope you have enjoyed this card. If you have any questions, please feel free to let me know. I hope you all have a great day.
Happy Stamping,
Katrina
